  Digital Communication's Class
The STORYBOARD PROJECT is an exercise designed to teach students the fundamental concepts of digital video production and editing. Small groups of 3 are formed and given a set of storyboards to interpret and film. Each group must self assign roles needed for the production of  the short scene as they shoot, edit, and musically score the final version. Students can earn up to 100 points for the filming process (group)  and 100 points each for the editing process (individual).
  The Filming Process

Students are expected to display appropriate behavior, careful use of the equipment, teamwork, as well as excellent  time management skills. All scenes must be CORRECTLY filmed in 30 minutes or less. Failure to do so will result in a second attempt which requires a complete restart as well as a major point deduction. Storyboards are available below so that preparation and practice before the filming day is in complete control of the students.

1 Successful Attempt - A (90-100 points)

2 Attempts - B (80-89 points)

3 attempts -  79 points or below.

*If time permits, filming may be done in class for the third attempt, otherwise after school time must be scheduled.

Further attempts will not be allowed ! In nearly all cases, the need for a 3rd or 4th attempt is due to a lack of focus, preparation, maturity, or misbehavior on the part of the group. If this is evident, students will be required to edit whatever footage they have captured up to that point as best as they can.
