This project encourages students to display their filming skills as they take part in the process
of creating a whole class music video. Filming is done by the students and Mr. Matuch will edit it all together.

Extra Credit - Possible Points earned:
Excellent (7 - 10 pts.) Average (3 - 6 pts.) Poor ( 1- 2 pts.)

IMPORTANT PROJECT INFORMATION:
*Each group (could be the same as stopmotion/PSA groups) would be responsible for filming approximately 1 minute of video footage (approximately 10 - 15 shots) based on the music, lyrics, and theme of the rotation's chosen song.
*If whole groups choose not to participate, individuals can also submit on their own footage.
*Shots should ideally be between 1 and 9 seconds in length each.
*Filming can be done at school or at home (after school is on your own time - tripods are available for camera or phones).
*Shot List / Plan Forms are required if you plan on filming at school or with school equipment.  Music Video  - Shot List / Plan Form R2 "The Unknown"  - Make sure you "Make a Copy", Rename it R#P# Name(s) MV Shot List" Also, print a copy for filming purposes and share a copy for me as well.
*Storyboards are not required but encouraged.
*Equipment is available for use and checkout - with advanced notice (Green Screens, Lights,
handheld camera stabilizers, tripods, iPhone/iPad tripods adaptors, etc. ).

TIPS:
*Shots can be related to the concept, lip syncing music and/or voice, etc. literal or symbolic interpretation of the lyrics. (Tip, close your eyes, listen to the song multiple times to see what images come to mind).
*Try to be as creative and unique as possible to earn more points. Effort is always obvious on a project like this.
*Always play the audio of the song when trying to sync lyrics or the playing of musical       instruments. This will make your footage more realistic and help with editing. Speakers/boom boxes will be available at school.
*Think carefully about locations, angles, lighting, etc.
*If filming on an iPad or iPhone, check out 8MM as well as these others.

*Editing will be done by Mr. Matuch. All you need to do is provide great footage that is useable. All footage is due by the last day of the rotation.
