Mission Statement
The Digital Communications class is designed to equip today's middle school student with the necessary skills needed to consume, create, and communicate effectively using a variety of multimedia tools with a heavy emphasis on digital video production, animation, photography and media literacy.

Digital Communication's class is a 7 week course that is part of the Hawthorn Middle North Arts & Technology Curriculum. Students rotate through Digital Communications,  STEM Lab, Art, Health, and Music as they complete the Related Arts experience.  Due to the "work in progress" nature of the projects, midterm reports are not easily provided. Please talk frequently to your son or daughter on the status of their projects. You are encouraged to check out the rest of this site which includes important information about class policies, grade level projects, due dates, as well as tutorials and helpful links.
